An Update from the Road
Over the past several months, our family has been traveling across the United States on an extended missionary deputation journey. It has been a full season—lots of miles, many churches, and very full schedules—but it has also been a season of encouragement and clear reminders of God’s care for our family and for the work He has called us to do in Peru.
As we traveled, preached, and shared about the ministry, we were reminded again and again that missions is not a solo effort. God uses faithful local churches to make His work possible around the world, and we have seen that firsthand throughout this journey.
Where It All Started
The Southeast
Our deputation began in the Southeast, with meetings in Florida and surrounding areas. These first stops helped set the tone for the months ahead. They gave us the opportunity to share our burden for Peru and also gave us much-needed encouragement as we began a long season on the road.

Heading North
Virginia & North Carolina
From there, the Lord opened doors in Virginia and North Carolina, including conferences and longer stays. These weeks allowed us to slow down just enough to build meaningful relationships with pastors and church families. The fellowship and conversations we shared during this time were a real blessing to our family.

A Slower Pace
Kentucky & Tennessee
Much of our time was spent in Kentucky and Tennessee, where we were able to stay in one area for several weeks. That slower pace was a gift. It allowed us to focus on ministry, enjoy deeper fellowship, and recharge a bit during a very busy season of travel.

Strength Along the Way
Michigan & Ohio
As we continued north into Michigan and Ohio, we were encouraged by churches that have faithfully supported missions for many years. Spending extended time in these areas helped strengthen our hearts and reminded us of the long-term impact faithful churches can have on the mission field.

A Broader Perspective
The Northeast
The Lord also allowed us to visit churches in the Northeast, including Connecticut and Massachusetts. It was encouraging to see God’s work continuing there and to connect with churches that want to remain involved in reaching people beyond their own communities.

Westward
Midwest, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Wyoming & Idaho
As our journey continued, we traveled through parts of the Midwest, along with several churches in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, before heading farther west into Wyoming and Idaho. This portion of the trip included a wide variety of meetings and settings, and it was encouraging to see how God is faithfully at work in so many different places.
Whether in well-established churches or smaller mission works, we were reminded that the Lord is building His churches everywhere—sometimes quietly and behind the scenes—but always according to His perfect plan.

Southern Stops
Texas, Louisiana & Arkansas
We also spent time in the South, including Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. These stops were marked by warm hospitality, thoughtful conversations, and genuine care for our family and the ministry. Each church we visited added encouragement in its own unique way.

When God Changed Our Plans
A Personal Family Update
In the middle of deputation, God clearly reminded us that His plans are always better than ours. In December, while we were still traveling, the Lord blessed our family with the birth of our newest child, Timothy Kevin.
Labor began unexpectedly, the baby was still breech, and we were rushed to the hospital where an emergency C-section was needed. None of this was part of our plan—but through every moment, we could clearly see God’s hand and His perfect timing.
That experience reminded us that even when plans change suddenly, God never does. We are incredibly thankful for the many prayers, messages, and support we received during that time.

Thankful and Looking Ahead
Moving Forward by Faith
As we continue preparing to return to the mission field, we are truly grateful for every church and individual who prayed for us, encouraged us, and partnered with us along the way. Some have taken us on for support, others continue to pray faithfully, and all have played a part in helping us move forward.
We are thankful, humbled, and excited about what the Lord has ahead.
To God be all the glory.
